right me ol' muccas...seem to have a problem with the leon..

at normal crusing (off turbo) the temperature is sat at 90, like normal..but as soon as the turbo spools, its creaping up gradually. the warning light hasnt came on yet, because as soon as it started creaping i kept it off boost.

ther appears to be no leaks in the coolant and the oil light isnt on. i assume thats ok but havent checked it yet as the engine is still warm.

what you guys recon?? phoning it in to midland VW tomorrow. im just hoping its not water pump

If your getting that done might aswell get the whole cam belt changed aswell.
Make sure you ask for a metal impellored water pump.
I paid £350 for the whole job from an independant VAG garage including parts

thats excellent if that includes changing the cambelt.

At that price I imagine it'll be same cam-belt and just new tensioner.

Had the same problem, was the plastic impeller slipped off the pump apparently - got new water pump, cam-belt change and 10k service for about £500 (and most of that I claimed back from the garage I bought the car from as it was covered under warranty and they were being ar*es )
