Overall Ibiza Sport Impressions

Hey guys,

Hmm where to start about the Seat Ibiza 1.6 Sport. I've had it nearly 3 weeks now and i'm not overly impressed by it. The interior seems "shaky" for example after a week the display thing on the gear stick came off in my hand, so i had to super glue that back on! The handbrake covering seems to ride up and down and my key fob has all of a sudden stopped working. Also when i ask the bluetooth to say all the names in the phone book, randomly when the car says some names i hear this loud screeching noise that frightens me to death lol. I'm averaging around 32mpg which is quite poor, although it is a new engine. And i also hate how small the glove compartment is but i knew that before i bought so can't complain hehe.

Thats just my thoughts so far, but what i'm really here for is to ask does anyone know a way i can reset my key fob to the car. In the manual it says to take the car to my "technical service" which i can't do as i'm in Germany at the moment. I've look on the internet and tried a few methods for the LEON and the IBIZA 97-onwards but they don't work. Does anyone know how to do this for the MK5 Ibiza??

HI all now had my Ibiza Sport 1.4 for just over a week nearly done 1000mlls, and everything is running as it should, it is being used as a driving school car and the pupils love it. although its early days I am beginning to think I should have bought one when I changed my my car two years ago.

Pete, how many miles do you do in the learner car a year? 1k in a week is more than i do in a month!

Mileage varies from month to month depentant on work load but my last vehicle (vauxhall) diid 66000 in just over 2yrs. I have changed my work pattern recently and predict I will be doing between 20/25000.per year.

I'm annoyed with the ride height on my SC 1.9TDI. Sure doesn't look like the website pics, altho all the ones I've seen in the showroom look high too.
