Is there any options to have a oval exhaust on a TDI?

I'm not bothered about removing the CAT, just want a better backbox for my FR 150 TDI.

I hear Powerflow seem to be good value.

Also, can anoyne explain the difference between resonated and non-resonated?

I think this looks sexy!! Fills the bumber out better than twins....Or woulsd a bigger twin look better than the standard twin on the TDI's?

It's alright for you lot with the Cupra rear bumper... Us FR+ lot can only go for custom exhausts with the Cupra R rear end.

The R bumper caused a lot more hassle due to the tip being off line from the back box! I think the FR allow a straight piece of pipe.

You can have ANY tip you want mate...really is down to you finding a top you want and getting any good exhaust place to weld it on for you. The TIP i have got (the one in your first pic as that's my car :)) looks good, better in flesh. So its down you to mate, find one and get someone to put it on!

Cheers for the replies.

So basically all I do is find a custom exhaust place tell them what car I have and what exhaust I want.

So all I need to ask for is a replacement backbox with a oval tip that will fill the bumber hole nicely.

Shall look into this then.

My friends car, Leon FR+ 150pd was the development car for CLF/Magnex exhaust systems and his was fitted with an oval exhaust outlet. I cannot get you any photos at the moment unfortunately, but his car is definately a FR+ and is fitted with the an oval exhaust.
As his was the development car he had the choice of several exhaust outlets, but the oval he chose is the same oval that Magnex offer normal customers. He also got the exhaust system for free!
Hope this helps.

im interested in this for mine!

how u get on chris?

I didn't, I had a rethink of priorities for my car and I came to the conclusion the OE exhaust is good enough until I have a spare £250 quid.

I don't think the OE exhaust is restricting me much if any, and the cost vs the 'oval' look has made it less important to me for now.

There are other things I want to improve before I improve parts that already do a good job.

Bought a Leon MK1 auto acoustics custom sub box off a member on here and a 12inch infinity sub and also a Kenwood amp from another member on here (I miss having a sub too much)

Car is booked in Monday at 12:30 for some 4 guage installing proffesionally, I know they do a good job and I won't have to bother about any unwanted 'noise' from the install.

Im also booked in on Friday for my Sparco upper strut fitting proffesionaly.

So thats my exhaust fund gone for now.

Oh btw, I settled on getting a Powerflow exhaust fitted when the time comes, using good quality steel with a oval TIP.
