outside temp STILL reading low!

changed my outside temp sender today to cure the aircon problem (which it did) but the temperature still reads way too low how can this be cured?

okay mine did this when I changed the wing mirror.

Try this:

turn on the radio without having the key in the ignition and leave it for 5 minutes. You should see it "calibrating" itself.

If this doesn't work I might have had the ignition turned to first position with the radio on or possibly the second position.

anyhow - try them all and let us know if it helps!

I know this coz I [foolishly?] plugged in the temp sensor whilst the engine was running coz it was a cold day and I wanted the heater on! It kept saying -1 but it was actually 9c outside.

Similar issue, my temp sensor is massively over-reading, saying today it was 40'c which it clearly wasnt. Shall i try the above or just replace the sensor in the wing mirror?

anyone got the part numver for this outside temp sensor in mirror

mine is playing about now ac wont kick in sensor always reads -1 or -6 or something stupidly cold when its not.
