Ouch!!!!!

i need some advice on my now poorly car, today as i was coming home, some toss pot in a transit tipper decided to cut the corner at a junction i was parked at. BANG!
wiped out my bumper,bonnet, o/s/f wing, o/s/f headlight and various bits of trim, he hit me with his rear wheel, sort of pushing my bumper downward. left me with mud on my various now broken bits. my car is a MK1 2001.
what i want to know is what is the latest yearbonnet,bumper,wing,light i can use. i,e 2000,2001,2002,2003 and so on. any help will be much appreciated

They will all fit mate, use it as an excuss to update your car to newer style of bumpers. If your cars yellow i have ideal solution in the parts section lol!!

well i would like an updated bumper, been surfing the usual sites looking for a replacement bumper.

Oh I've been there

The old git on my road had a Frontera he could bearly see over the steering wheel in - one afternoon I was following him home and he stopped in the middle of the road, just round the corner (so I couldn't see why he was stopping) next thing I know he's reversing full tilt into the front of my 1st car.

He claimed I'd run into the back of him, and I only had TPFT insurance so left a great hole in my wallet getting the damage repaired myself.

luckily for me, the bloke behind me is my primary witness, and a bloke who was turning left as the TP cut accross him in the junction is also my second witness, so i think he cant say i was in his way or pulled out on him.

Wait until they have bothered to complet the questionares before your count your chickens.

Also the second witness would not have sen as you would have been pasked by the TP.

That's pretty good going. I'm billing my insurance at the moment for similar bar the bonnet and that only came to a grand - they got off lightly

Hope it gets sorted quick - take it there was little/no damage to his ?



Doesn't really bear thinking about, but if you can't/don't claim off his insurance I think that quote is probably a bit steep - you could get it done yourself for cash for less.

thats true, i could. this quote is for new parts and as all people know. if you were pay for it yourself. then its off to the scrappers to get all the bits.
and as for the damage to his van:> lets just say he wont need to clean the mud from that wheel(it didnt even scratch his rim, it just scraped the mud from his tyre, no joke about that) he has no damage to his van at all:w4nk:

the total bill comes to £1,786.71. then there is the governments free money to consider. oops i meant VAT @£312.67. the total vat costs could buy me a bumper alone. (damb thieving government)
