Original 2 button remote key (non flip)

hi guys,

I've trawled through the mountains of threads regarding keys on here but still cannot find the answer! please help!

I have an original 2 button remote key. I do not have a spare key at all.

The problem is that the plastic pins that hold in the circuit board inside have broken so this leaves me not being able to use the buttons because they dont make contact with the board inside.

If i was to purchase a new key (non flip) and just transfer the circuit board inside and the blade section which holds the transponder will it then work. Really all i want to do is change the casing! also what is the best way of removing the circuit board off the key so as not to break the pins??

I was gonna go down the flip key router but im sick of ebay and getting SHITEbay and getting outbid in the dying seconds and it going upto £40+ [:@]

Please help!

Cheers

Darren

The circuit board just pops off, your pins already sound broke so should be loose anyway.
Just apply even pressure either side of the board and lift it off, transfer to your new key with blade and transponder. Simple as that.

you won't be able to transfer the circuit board into a new key though, because then you'll end up with the same problem of it not being fixed down..
it's held with melted plastic, so i can't see how that would help..

surely all you need to do is buy a new fob, and transfer the key over. the circuit is completely seperate to the key..

Oops I didn't realise it was stuck down on the standard key. All the ones I've seen (car and bike) in the past have had plastic lugs holding the board on. As above might just be easier just to buy a new full key and reprogram the CL. Although I have seen the bare shell's on ebay before.
