Wheel Strips, Good or Cheese On Toast?

I thought about getting my wheels done black and getting red stripes on mine was unsure but it doesnt look too bad imo.

Looks good red on black IMO same as the golf GTI-R, But that isnt to my taste sorry, But if you think they look good keep them.!

would look better if the line was continious, which i know is hard because of the contours on the wheels - but try it!

Yeh my car is black and i was going to get my wheels painted black and get a red lip painted on, just thought if it looked crap i would need to repaint the wheels. So i thought about gettin those strips for motorcycle wheels off ebay and putting them on my standard wheels, abit like this

Yeh thats what i thought but wasnt paying twice to get my wheels painted and repainted back again if i didnt like it. I was going to get the thin strips and put it on my standard wheels so it looks alittle less in your face, might see about getting them now someone else has done it and it doesnt look that bad. But to the origional post i agree with pdcupra, would look better all the way around the wheel.

Anyone any good at photoshop, if so could they please put the wheels black with the red lip and red brake calipers, mine hav faded and flacked soo badly i need to repaint them.

I'm sorry mate, I don't like them. They look too superficial to me, but that may be just cos I know they're standard wheels and the colour is not normally there.

It reminds me of my space saver wheel. Spot on body colour though

Cheers for the feedback, they are in fact motorbike rim strips, £2.99 off eBay plus i've only done one side, so no major loss.

Might try the continuous line, bit awkward with the rim not being totally flat.

I would also add that it looks a bit 'Jap'... a red RX-7 will look good with black wheels with red 'rims', i'm just not convinced that 'we' could pull it off.

I could be proved wrong though

Yep - I agree mate, like I said, most Jap cars will look good with them. An ibiza with them... not to my taste... at all.

I thought about this the other day and just though, no it would look naff!
