Opinions On The Most Unpopular MK4 Ibiza 2.0 8V

Wondering what people think of these, was looking at the 130PD but insurance is £200 pound cheaper and also the car is lower mileage than similar diesels of the age (which fit into my budget)

You'll save well over £200 a year in fuel alone.
Inface I reckon you'll save £200 in the first quater.

Go and drive both then come back and give your view, never driven the 2.0 8v in a Ibiza but have in a MK4 Golf and my god its slow gutless and jucy (Used more juice than my 2.0TFSI lump)

I've owned both. If you're not too bothered about fuel economy, that instant performance you get from a TDi and lack of tuning potential, then the 2.0 Sport isn't a bad buy. As has been said though, you'll save money in fuel with the 130 TDi, which will make up the insurance difference. Also the 2.0 Sport is dearer to tax. £185 I think at the moment, compared to the £120 for the 1.9 TDi?

Personally I'd go for the 130 TDI, It will be ALOT cheaper in the long run. Plus you can remap it to alot faster than the 2.0

gotta be the 130pd.....seriously good car....im not biased at all mind! fuel economy and tax has already been mentioned...that should be enough to sway you
