Hi,
I've recently bought a mk3 ibiza cupra. When I picked it up it had a noisey exhaust so booked it in at regal autosport yesterday for a milltek system. While the car was there I had it booked in for an evom filter and dump valve.
Got a phone call yesterday from paul at regal saying that the evom filter was too big for the engine bay so just had the exhaust and dump valve done.
One of the reasons why I went for a quiter exhaust was because I would rather listen to the dump valve as its my first turbo car!
I was slightly disapointed when I got the car because the new dump valve (evolution motorsport) seemed quiter than my original one! Apprently if I want a noisy dump valve I have to go for atmospheric ones, but ive heard these arnt good for the ecu.
Any advice on how to get a noisey dump valve without buggering up the ecu?
Also what intake should I go for? Regal recomended getting a K&N but I always relate these to chavs in halfords. Seems stupid but I do. The Evom filters come with a box to stop any heat getting to the filter so am looking for something simular!
The reason why I got my cupra was because my old polo got smashed into. I got a bit of compensation which I am looking to spend on my engine. Already have a revo remap stage 1. Apart from changing turbos what can I do?
Thanks for all advice as I am new to all of this!
