Hi all.

I have been looking at upgrading the bumpers on the prefacelift mk01 leon.

I have got some quotes and it seems its gonna be an expensive job.

Just had a quick look online to see what i could find and came across this ......

http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/SEAT_Body_Kits.html

KIT128 - Sport FR Full body kit.

Is this the same as the cupra facelift kit??? and what are your opinions on getting this kit rather than the 'real deal'

I have emailed them and its obv not a genuine seat kit but its £500 for both bumpers and sideskirts including VAT and delivery.

Cheers all

Funny as the kit he is refering to looks to be a replica of the Cupra bodykit!

Looks good, its the quality you will need to watch out for. Sometimes worth saving for the genuine parts :)

The kit looks to be a straight copy of the FR/Cupra kit which is good (the rest is gash btw!), however often material quality is the problem with these kits - they're often fibreglass kits making them quite fragile

the the picture is of a seat with a seat bumper. whether or not it turns out like that we wont know until you buy it but theres another company selling them for a stupidly cheap price and if i remember where i saw it i'll come back to you. it could be that through enonomys of scaly theyre actually VAG but unlikely. i'd stay away from fibre glass kits... i almost bought those wheels from seat recently, glad i didnt now!!

Was to busy laughing at the others and never got that far down the list! Most of those have been photoshopped, wouldn't trust anything on there!

If you want the cupra facelift kit have a look on ebay or in the forsale section on here. As said by a few people watch for quality? Best to get genuine parts really mate.

I don't know, am sure that the kit130 one near the bottom, if paired up with hydraulic/pneumatic suspension would be very useful for earning a few quid plowing roads when its snowed

Anyway, back to reality, as people have said, the kits may be cheap and may look the part but quality is a big big issue, not just the quality of the materials used but also the general fit of the kits can often leave a lot to be desired

Do not buy fibreglass!

One knock and it's f*cked. Try for ABS plastic or Polyurethane (almost indestructable but expensive). As above, get a quote from a SEAT dealer, I hear good things about Sere Motors on here, give them a call.
