Ongoing issues - what would you do?

Back in October 2023, I bought a 2018 1.8L Leon from Cars2, and they included an extended warranty. A month or so later, it triggered a low coolant warning. Initially, I thought it just needed a top-up and went on my way. Around a week later, it happened again, and then again the next week after topping up the fluid.

I took the car to the dealership, and after a few days, they identified a potentially faulty coolant cap. The car was returned to me, and I thought that would be the end of it. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The car went back to the dealership several times between November and January, undergoing multiple diagnostics. At one point, it sat for a week to pressure test the system, which maintained pressure.

After more back-and-forth, the car went back to the garage on March 5th. Initially, no loan car was offered until I complained, and suddenly, the manager found one (taken from the forecourt with the price tag still on the back seats).

That was the last I've seen of the car—in a few days, it will have been at the garage for three months. I've received very little information other than the occasional "we're still trying to locate the leak" or "we believe it might be the cylinder or head gasket, but we can't confirm."

The last update a few days ago mentioned that their "master technician" is trying to locate the leak, and they can't provide any more information.

The car is part-financed, and I've filed a complaint with the finance company, which is now investigating the situation. While they've provided a loan car, driving it each day is a risk due to the £1500 insurance excess that they're unwilling to budge on.

I'm now considering rejecting the car and looking for something else. I'm sure Cars2 will resist, given they'd have to buy the car back at the price it sold for, now with an additional 5k miles on it (the loaner), and after all the time spent on diagnostics.

Has anyone had any past experience with Cars2?

That's pretty poor that a SEAT dealerships master technician cannot find a leak!
The leak must be internal or it would be easy to find. With the diesel Leon's, the EGR cooler can leak and the coolant goes straight into the exhaust and evaporates with the heat, leaving no trace. No idea if there's and EGR cooler on the petrol engine or it's just the diesels.
