well i've had it a couple of months and done a few bits to it now so going to do a lame attempt of a progress thread....

2 days after i bought it, bog standard bar the front bump strip had been painted off yellow.

apologies for the pics, they're not the best and were all taken on my phone 6300c

then picked up these from ebay

and stretched some 195/45/15's on

next i got some springs off a mate and dropped it down

but i wasn't happy with the handling so got myself a set of coily's

in the meantime i painted the rear s badge black and fitted some yellow pioneer 17cm in the shelf,

jesus! a lot of work into that

only thing i dont like is the extreme stretch on the tires.. my mate had a golf mk3 with stretched tires, and one went bang.

lovely looking motor though interested in those carbon fibre covers. also, can i PM you about the battery relocation?
oh, and where did you get the blanking plate from? is it a forge item?

thanks mate, haven't really had alot of time to do anything as i got a new mrs the day before i got it then was in turkey for a bit but not bad in 2 months all thing considered.

i keep thinking about the loom...... and i want to re route the intercooler pipework but that'll have to wait 'til i source a suitable front mount ic.

maybe, still like to do bits and bobs when i get bored and with the market it doesn't look like i'll be getting what i want for it so expect moe 'fiddling'

next i turned my attention to the engine bay

carbon cannister and washer bottle were the first to go along with the n112 and n249

decided to go for a smaller neater 1l tank

next to go was the SAI and air con

made a blanking plate for the egr too

next i finally got round to putting a resistor in and remove my n249 completely

once that was gone i set about relocating the other one and tidying the loom to the coilpacks

next to go was the battery to the boot, got myself some awg4 lead and soldered a terminal to the end

now i had to make a bracket and clamp for the battery to be held in place so out came the welder

decided the location and welded it in place and applied some paint

drilled a place for the clamp and cut the carpet back

then trimmed the boot carpet around it and put the jacket on (bad pics)

with that done now i had to relocate the fuse box that sat on top of the battery before

i decided to re-route the fuel lines and clean the legs and where the battery was

then nothing for a while as i was busy replacing coilpacks and oil and got myself a H valve.

last night i got bored so made up some covers

tonight i got bored again and made another cover

and decided to move my washer bottle to the boot

once that was done i made up a CAI to move my filter away from the engine

and fitted a blank to my throttle body

think thats about it for now need a better camera, if i get really bored i might start tackling the loom and the inlet and rocker are also on the cards sometime soon.

i traded my last project for the ibiza, apparently was the first one ever done, took 3 months of weekends and after work. 1272cc running near on 180bhp and did it all myself, was due to go in pvw but i traded it before it went in

Your fairly cracking on there , you have given me a few ideas for my engine bay, ever thought about moving the washer bottle into the boot? just a thought
