has anybody got some graphs, either vag-com of torque and boost pressure with their jabba remap?

or rr results with torque/bhp, totally stock bar a remap and a forge 007p if possible.

Noticed it very much last night that i cant escape a 1.9PDi MK4 once it is remapped,

Would be interesting to see other peoples results, as my boost/torque tails off very quickly, quicker than it should i reckon.

i'm not surprised. My previous car was a 54 plate Ibiza Mk4 FR TDi. I had this Revo'd by Stealth Racing and to be honest it went like stink. I warped the front discs on it as the brakes just weren't anywhere near up to the power.

Never underestimate the power of the DERV side - even if Jabba map gave you another 10bhp and 10lb/ft I don't think on the orad it would make any odds.

Even with Revo Stg 2 on the LCR, and FMIC, Milltek + race cats I couldn't say that I drive away from 'decent' diesels like they are going backwards. You either have to hammer a diesel from a standing start or by using high speeds. In the mid range they pull so strongly as they have a high compression, seem to have less heat soak issues, and due to the narrow power band the turbo seems more effective across its rev range (less tail off as range is so short).

I'd drive another car with a Jabba map before you going paying the expense - I'm not saying one is better than the other, I just think you may find there is less difference than you think between your Revo'd car and a Jabba car (unless there is something wrong with your car).

ditto coxw - i dont think you are going to notice a difference at all. May as well go and get one of those resistor things off ebay for that extra "5bhp" or whatever they quote and have done with :)

thanks coxw, i'm going track down somebody with IC and Jabbaremap or something, and see if everything taisl off as early.

I know revo stage 2 is meant to be better, but it seems a bit silly that at 0 degrees celcius it could still be the side mount not cooling enough.

I can vouch for it being a quick car having been a passenger in it on Wednesday, it flies through the gears. A remapped mk3 Cupra isn't going to wipe the floor with it, that's a certainty.

get one in your hands mate, its about the size of a very small tool box, temperature means nothing without flow, its just too damn small.

i could heat my old 20vt ibiza upto 60C intake temps in two full throttle runs on the standard I/C

the diesel you "raced" against was prolly remapped, therefore had similar power figs but a sheet load more torque

200hp is nothing anymore

Where are you from Flashbsd? Thought it was fairly local to me? If so then have a go in mine if you like. Ive noticed the boost holds a bit longer in mine compared to a Revo car. I can show you the graphs too (no scanner atm). IMO intercooler won't make a hell of a lot of difference at the moment, but as soon as temperatures climb even a bit, then the SMIC will be holding us back

What settings are you running in? What fuel do you run? Are you 100% sure the car's not got any other issues. And are you basing everything off one rolling road run you had done?!

60 degrees saul? That's nothing I saw 90+ when running the Forge replacement sidemount... runs loads, loads better with my frontmount on. Rev's out alot more as it's not suffering from heat so much.

it was this fella up there :p all i can say is... well done redcupratdi :) Had a sit in it for a demo, very impressed, and actually not suprised as it made mine feel laggy!

Nice to meet you, and hope you come to the next meet so i can show you my ihi conversion (joke) :)

It was on the motorway and i was as flat out as can be :) and recupratdi was 2up, i was 1up

I'm not expecting to pull alot on it, just thought the petrol would have had the edge especially at higher speeds.

thanks for the advice guys, you have pm stevo1 :)

kev: Im on timing 6 and boost 6, optimax, thought MAF sensor was tits up a while ago, but has sorted itself out after a clean, no faults etc. I havent had any rollign roads done, just the way it tails off quicker than i remember the trial doing so if i must be honest :)

Perhaps you are just accustomed to the car now.

I know after a year my Cupra doesnt feel as quick as the day i drove it home from Star.

But its still the same.

Are you sure you're MAF sensor sorted itself out after a clean?! I don't normally find this to be the case... do you know what peak figures you're seeing on your MAF under load, 3rd or 4th gear?
