Oil Temp Sender - Might be a stupid question?.....

Can anyone who's fitted the sender unit into the oil filter housing tell me if they drained the oil before removing the existing 10mm blanking plug, located on top of the housing (with the allen key head)?

Might be a stupid question , but just wanted to check.

No you dont drain the oil buddy.

I fitted mine about 18mths ago now
