Hi Guys

The oil is running a bit low on my car so thought i would change the oil and filter

Now done a quick search on the forum and keep hearing about synta gold 5-40w?

Just wondering if there are any other recommendations as i normally just go to GSF and get any oil??

I live quite close to a Millers oil warehouse but never used them, any good?

The car is a Cupra R

Thanks

I was looking at the same thing last night, just dropped my IC in for its 70k service this morning and i went with Halfords own stuff 5w40 fully synthetic oil. Gets very good reviews. Millers is top stuff aswell. Plenty of threads on this

Comma make it £26.99 in the factors or £36.99 in halfords both are the same oil robbing gits! Its a very good oil only one I will use on mine.

I think it's much of a muchness as long as it's a decent brand, ie Castrol, Mobil 1 , Comma, etc etc!

I use the Quantum synta gold, it's now platinum at the dealers, that is 5w40, and you can get it from any VAG dealer, cost me £26 for 5 litres! Handy as you can get the genuine oil filter whilst your there :)

On my old Mk3 Cupra I used Magnatec 10w40 and that was fine as well.
