OIl level TFSI

nighty

Guest
I checked my oil level on my FR TFSI today and it is extreamly low i was very surprised indeed. I have only done 4000 miles and am a bit worried that something is wrong. I done 12000 in my mk5 golf sport and never added a drop of oil to the car.

What oil is recommended for the TFSI engine as i don't want to be mixing oil types. I have done a search but the results did not help very much.

Any help appreciated

Cheers Jamie.

castrol edge.
fill it up to the mark reset your trip or note down your mileage when you topped it up and wait till it needs topping up again, but will normally settle down once it run in.

I topped mine up at just under 3500 miles.

Took a litre to bring it up to the max.

I bought some Catrol Edge 5W 30 I think it was, its the one recommended for VAG engines.

I had confirmed the oil spec with both SEAT and Castrol. This one meets SEAT's specifications and was the one Castrol recommended from their range.
