Oil Leak - Turbo lube inlet pipe

Need advice all you TDI Gurus, I have a drip from the inlet pipe, not serious but very messy, drips onto drive shaft, gets sprayed around, Do I have to take all of the inlet manifold off to get to it? I had to take off a lot of pipework, just to see it. Anybody repaired this, in car, before, I can see it is a real sh*t to get to but do any of you have any hints/tips and do I need any gaskets/seals before I start, or any special tools. looks like a couple of hours work just to tighten a loose pipe, what a drag.

not done this, but on an ASZ, (PD) the pipe screws to a connector which screws into the tubo, instructions are to replace the fitting and "packingplate" which I assume is a seal of some kind, "apply seal paste to threads" (of the union to pipe) and tighten to 30Nm hope this helps

Going to do it on Saturday, will keep you posted. I will buy an inlet manifold gasket as well, it may get damaged, that is the only problem I forsee, but it is in an awkward place, right under the manifild, if I were triple jointed I would try to leave the minifold in place, but I like to see what a hash I am making of things! The hated EGR will get some Hylomar and like it. Hmm seal paste...sounds like good ol hylomar to me.
