Oil in Diverter valve

Hello
I've not had my LC long so have been checking a few parts to make sure it's running well. It has a forge dv relocated to the cold side, which i had removed to clean, but it is very oily and i think there could be problem, possibly with the PCV?
does anyone have any ideas?

the car also needs a replacement MAF, as the g/s is low on a vagcom logs and it has a bit of a stutter, not sure if these could of effected each other?

Thanks

Some oily deposit is perfectly normal.

The red grease inside the DV turns pretty black when its been used for a while and also the PCV fumes will cause this anyway.

since the dv is cold side it will condensate oil far more in comparison to it being on the hot side of the intercooler

Cheers guys! both those explanations make good sense! It is also very oily in the relocation pipe, but guess it will run to the lowest point. Is there anyway to test the pcv valve just to make sure? can the oil do any damage?
