Please note for those of you with early Cupra Tdi engines (mine is around engine number BPX001500 and is an 05 registered car) that the oil filter is wrong in the dealer parts list and Purflux catalogue

They list Oil filter 071115562A made by Purflux (Purflux L267A)
This has a stalk up the middle and is 142mm long 71mm OD and 28mm ID, 1/3 of filter is stalk. Cost £5.12+Vat in 2007.
It actually has an Ibiza 3 tdi filter 074115562 (and so housing is different) which is made in Germany and Purflux L291 is the cross reference. This has a cap with an inbuilt stalk up the middle and filter is just plain element 155mm long x 65mm OD x 19mm ID.

Parts cost to do oil change £38.48 at a stealer + £8 for DOT 5.1 Girling brake fluid, then £70 for a VAT registered garage to maintain the warranty inluding brake fluid change.
