Thats where mine broke off, low down. i just used duct tape and taped the tube back on as the dipstick itself holds it in place untill i got my new one from seat which was only like £2.30.. yeh i just pulls of-i got a pair of pliers on it.

Just snapped mines, do you know part number for the tube? For AYp engine (unnless they all the same).

Just to confirm, do you just pull on the broke peice and it comes off? as i dont want to be breaking something else (good luck is not on my side the past few days).

Snapped mine a while ago and have taped it for the time being.

Need to get one from seat, so prob this weekend. Part number is 06A 103 663B they are only a couple of quid.

A good tug should get the old one off.
