Oil Consumption

How much oil do mk3 cupra use?? I work for vauxhall and we allow 1litre per 1000miles maxium if more than obviously have problems....my seat seems to use a little bit just curious.

you allow a litre per 1000 mile, jesus, i'd be well worried if mine used that much per 1000 mile, mine uses mext to none! even when the seals on the turbo were gone only used about 1 litre per 5000 mile

anything more than a top up of a 200ml every 4-6 weeks I'd be worried. The only engines I know that use lots of oil are Honda V-TEC's, but even that is only a ltr every 4-5k. That is based on mates that have or do own S2000's or Type R's

yes this lad is rite, i allso work for vauxhall. the 1.4, 1.6 8v engines seam to use this much as well, i wouldnt have one in a month of sundays!

mine ibiza doesnt seem to use any, and neither does my combo van (unfortunatley, no signs of it dying yet )
