I done a little work to my car about 2 months and about 1500 miles ago. All the usual servicing, plugs, filters, oil etc. I also cleaned out the throttle body and fitted a cold air feed around the same time. The photo is not of my car (Thankyou in advance EnGbudd) but my cold air feed is exactly the same running down to the grill.
After I changed the oil I checked the level for about 2 weeks and checked the driveway for evidence of leaks and it was all fine.
Today just as I pulled up to my house the oil light flashed so I checked the level and was completely shocked and concerned to find almost no oil in the engine!
I have double checked and there is still absolutely no evidence of a leak so the engine has obviously burned all the oil, why?
Would the extra cold air be causing more oil than usual to be spat up the breather pipe into the airbox?
I did clean quite a bit of gunk from inside there the last time but I have never before had a problem with oil consumption.
