I got a letter from my local dealer offering me any new car at cost price to them plus just £200 for administration.

What would say a new leon FR TDi cost the dealer or is this just bull...

Anyone else had this. It is a letter written by the dealer principle.

Thanks

If it's on any new car then it can't just be to clear old stock, can it? There can't be any old stock Leon II FRs. I'm sure it's probably a genuine offer, but at the end of the day if you have a part exchange then it really is the balance to change that you will be interested in as that depends what they value your current car at. If you haven't got a part exchange then I know dealers will usually give a discount as they haven't got a part exchange to deal with or recondition.

Letter Says

" New cars at factory prices"

Here at Autoworld we are having a factory price event. We will reduce all our new cars to their original factory cost price and pass the saving onto you the customer.

The Catch............?

We will add just £200 to the factory cost of the vehicle to cover adminisration charges and the new vehicle must be registered in JULY.

Looks like the CUPRA is out of the question then unless they can get one by the end of the month....

makes sense from the dealers point of view.

they're going to do it to keep car sales up, and they're not really going to loose out on it. If you bring the car back for service, they'll make money off it.

More cars they sell for seat, the better rates/service they'll get from seat most likely too, or at least better bargaining power.

Go in and have a look, but keep your eyes open
