Well after reading about it happening to others, i guess it was just a matter of time till mine went!
It looks as though the hanger is fine but the tin bracket has rotted through and come away from the mandrel bend, just as it passes over the rear axle beam.
Question is how long can I leave it for, with just the back box and pipe work on a single hanger?
Is it going to put unnecessary strain on the last hanger?
I reckon I can rig up a temporary steel band to re-hang it, bit it won't pass its next MOT like it
Car is sadly 6 months outside of warranty, so no joy at the dealers, but perhaps 50k is an OK life for an OEM box?
A small part of me thinks it could be time to ditch the system and fit a milltek...
