Hi All,

I was hoping someone migth be able to make some suggestions as to why my car feels like it's kind of swaying from side to side. I know that sounds odd but it almost feels like the wheels are loose, I obviously chekced all the bolts and they are fine.

I thought it might be the shocks on the way out or somethingor some bushings??

any ideas?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Mate,

Thanks for coming back to me. It's like a slow wobble, it feels like the wheels are loose or something, it's really weird. If I go around a corner and over rut in the road or something (only slowly) it feels like the back end skips out and the car sort of wobbles??????

No I don't have nay spacers on the front or rear. Do you think it could be bushing or shock related?

obviously spacers arent to balme then :)

im not sure... i dont have any experience of what the symptoms of bushes or shocks being gone.

has it always done it, or just started, because i would say, when i first got my ibiza, i really wasnt impressed with the handling, and my dad theought the same. that the back end felt nervous, and i could feel it begining to step out around round abouts and stuff... then the car would kind of "wobble" as the back end whipped back in line again... not sure if thats the wobble ur talking about... and il also say that it did this even when going pretty slowly!!

spacers totally got rid of this by the way, but id maybe let someone who knows their stuff look at it as it may be something serious

If you push the car down on one corner if it sways up and down a few times before settling then its the shocks.
If it settle's in 1 - 2 sways, then they are ok. Mine wont sway at all at the mo, with my coilvers.
