Hi,
Just bought a nice Ibiza, which I've had for a couple of weeks, but I'm having a couple of problems, so hopefully looking for some advice
Twice now the power steering light has come on. It came on when I started the car, the steering feels a little heavy, but if I turn off and back on it is fine, until it did this again the other day, but again not since. Have had a garage connect a computer, but nothing logged. Friend had similar thing with a ford and it turned out to be the battery, so got mine checked and was told it seemed ok, but was not 100%. As it looks quite archaic, I thought I'd replace it anyway.
What I am after, probably me being totally blind and stupid, is how do I remove the battery? I have disconnected the terminals and can't see any obvious retaining clips, so I try to lift out the battery and it feels like the engine wants to come out aswell. Am I missing something really obvious? Also I understand the power steering fluid is there so was going to check that aswell.
Thanks for any info.
