now i know what a knackered maf feels like

after seeing poor mpg and my problems with lambda 1 and engine management light.i thought maybe a change of maf might help things.i have cleaned it twice in the 3 years i have had the car,and as far as iknow its the original.
got a pattern one from local unipart so i could pick it up straight after work(no gsf or ecp around here ).
got home and fitted it straihgt away.started car and lo and behold the car idled like a pig,wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.so on the side of the road,i do a throttle body re-alignment,still no joy.
So that will be going back on monday.is nothing simple with modern cars?

old one refitted-still running like a dog.was fine this morning
jason must have pulled a hose off when fitting lack of light stopped play.

remove it altogether, it will be fine for a day or two.

i think i may have pulled the TIP off at the turbo.mrs rushing to go swimming witht he kids.
bit of day light will sort it out.might re-fit the old tip while i am at it,ready for selling it.
