Well not best pleased this morning...

came out to find the following on my LCR!!!!

Someone has obvisouly nudged it and bumped out the bumper from the light..........looks like taking the light out and readjusting it may sort it out.....

and then i will get the bumper resprayed but ive just paid out for the major service at £320 and ordered new brakes all round for £520 and need to get them fitted as well!

Not best pleased...

Thats not good news.
seeing from the pictures, the wing, bumper looked aligned, just that the head lights has been pushed int.
Best to check the headlight and see if the mounting are still ok!

its odd the mountings on the lights are fine...

i think whats happened is the wing and bumper were wedged nicely behind the back/side of lights, and the nudge has nudged them out, theres no bend on the wing or the bumper, everything is the same shape...

theres just a slightly bigger gap on the bonnet/wing gap and theres the big gap by thelight...

i needed to get the bumper sprayed anyway as its got stone chips etc so i suppose its an excuse to get it done now...

the bumper scratch should be repairable with rubbing down and spraying as its not a big mark........

how much for a bumper spray and that u reckon?

Asume alot, as they whole corner end needs to be done so it blends in with rest of the body work! Few hundred i think. Aprox £200, not sure. Deepends who you got to..

its odd tho!!

its so friggin odd....

the light looks like it has moved...it fooking hasn't!

ive checked the mountings....nothing has budged...

the wing or bumper isn't creased or bent...its all perfectly in line round the corner with the wing...i just don't get it!!!

i want a whole bumper spray....any sprayers in the house....what will they say about blending in to wings or bonnet? worth having them done at the same time u reckon?

well ive got the quote for side skrts and front bumper and repair for £530 inc the Vat....

tried 3 places and all gave around that quote..

booked in next week....

you manage to work out how the lights were so inset as you mentioned all mountings were all still good?

not yet, until the bumper comes off they won't be able to tell what the score is with bent mountings or what have you, goes in next tuesday so keep you all informed!

I really get p!ssed off with things like this. TBH i am waiting for it to happen to me because it the only thing left to happen to my car (got keyed first 2 months i got it)...

Anyway, what about paying someone like chips away to have a go at it? They are pretty good!

naaa chips away did a few chips on the car already and its not the greatest job,.....id rather have it bodshopped...

but yeah its so annoying...

this week i spent:

£520 on 4 new brakes/pads/fluid
£320 on Major Service inc cambelt and waterpump
£120 on audi coil packs
£160 on sprint booster
and at least £530 on painting and sorting out this ****....

On the plus side though, £320 for a major service, cam belt and water pump is a damn good price!
