Hi, not been on here for a while, got fed up with the Seat so I got a new car.

This is what it looked like when I got it home.

Image016.jpg

had been lowered front - about 40mm and had some 15inch Ronal alloys fitted.

Its a 1992 Citroen AX GTi, 1.4 8v.
100 bhp as standard. currently got about 110 brake
0 - 60 in about 8 seconds

Since I've owned it I've fitted a 4 - 2 - 1 manifold, induction kit, sports exhaust, semi stripped the interior, fitted a 3-point harness, raised the bonnet, de-locked it, sprayed some parts of the dash, removed the rear wiper, re-sprayed the black window surrounds, fitted 106 Rallye steel wheels and center caps and fitted gas rams under the bonnet.

Next job is to get the back lowered cos its too high atm. tired once but the torsion bars were stuck solid so im just gonna pay someone to do it.

I've got a 106 Rallye inlet manifold to fit.
Going to fit a cam, ported head, Saxo VTR injectors, Saxo VTR bottom end and Omex stand alone ECU when Ive got the cash.

and possible a DP turbo conversion at a later date.

Shows up alot of bigger cars and people hate been over taken by an AX. lol
easily out performance 1.8 clio's, vectra's, corsa's and many others

Not half as comfy or as refined as the Leon but lots more fun.

I honestly have to say....what the hell did you do? That car is crap compared to what you had!
And I honestly have to say that I think the AX looked better when you bought it than now....

but each their own i guess...............................

I think it looked better whel you bought it, if your going for the white wheels (Rally Slag) look then powder coating the original alloys would have looked better.

I remember the AX being a fun little car if a little fragile

the original wheels had rubber bands for tyres! it was so uncomfy. thats why i changed them.
every little bump it the road felt like a speed bump

and

Reuvers, its not as comfy or a quite but its faster, alot more fun and i find paying £150 from Citroen for a cam belt to be changed alot better than £320 from Seat. I also enjoy paying £100 odd quid for road tax instead of over £200.
But hey! if moneys nothin for you i dont suppose it matters ;)
