Not a good week

I went to get a new lamba sensor Friday, my fault, I broke the other one :(. So on the way the bloody air filter fell off again and into the gear linkages, cant change gear then! Luckily it was when I was pulling into the ECP carpark.

So went in, got my lamba sensor, £82 down. Come back out, start car up, ABS, TCS light on. MAF playing up again so need a new MAF.

Then the handbrake light starts flashing. Low brake fluid. Brake fluid is fine....pads haven't even done 1000k yet.

So I managed to sort the lamba sensor and then ended up with 3 new problems

And then tonight I managed to completely destroy my LCR splitter. Must have been dragging along catching (never even heard it!) and it's completely scraped away most the front of it :(. To make matters worse, the car was only peaking at 12psi, usually 15psi....MAF?

So, yeah, not a good week . Meant to be selling it in August but I am forking out for this car when I am meant to be saving for a new one.

And, oh yeah, my car tax is due Monday. Don't get much better!

oh your definately in my gang mate,

i got revo... couldnt boost properly... got a new maf, rattle started.... and then my differential went, so got a new gearbox fitted with a new clutch and then my oil light came on and it turned out to be an oil blockage or faulty oil pump but i havent found out yet... but i think ive spent about £2500 in parts in the upgrades and fixes (mostly fixes) past 3 weeks

Your filter falling off has probably killed the MAF from letting all the dirty air flow past it.

Your LCR splitter, well having you car stupidly low can you really expect it to last long!!

If i was you id get it hooked up to vagcom to clear any faults that pop up and see if they come back before worriying to much

Well, all sorted.

Had a play about with the fuse box and realised the plug wasn't on properly. So re-connected and no more lights and beeping :D

Also had a play around with the coolant sensor and it no longer beeps and flashes when you start it up.

Anyone with secondary water pump problems check your fuse box plug because mine was intermitment (sp) and now it works everytime so obviously the plug was barely getting a connection.

And yes, splitter is my fault but I dont care that it gets a bit knocked, only £18 brand new.

I have heard that before, that people have to clean their plugs once in a while...seems to work like a charm, and for you it definately turned out A LOT cheaper than you though!
