Non-power steering rack

Did any of the ibiza's come without power steering?

Im building a track car and considering binning the power steering rack for a manual one.

Any one done this?

i no a golf mk3 one did, so i would imagine the ibiza did to, incredibly hard to find though

From my experience with old Golfs with no PAS, their racks have about a million turns from lock to lock so not really ideal for a track car unless you have superhuman strength and reflexes.

there is a mk2 golf stearing rack with quick responce or something like tht, my bubber m8 found it last night on ebay. will get him to find it, or just search limited slipdiff mk2 golf its all part of one car the guy is breaking

I gett proppa confused which golf parts and ibiza parts are the same!!!!

Golf 3 parts at the front mainly, although Golf 2 ones can be persuaded to fit

Oh and early 1.0's came non assisted

even with he none power stearing rack you will still struggle to go from lock to lock

I loved my old 1.4 mk2 with no power stearing, easier to control then my cupra r with this new power stearing stuff. so sensitive need to adapt my driving style.

1.4cl M reg ibiza is what i had and that didn't have power steering. So the answer is yes you can easily get one without power stearing
