Noisy lifters?

I have got an anyoing tapping noise coming from my engine bay. you can hear it low down in the rev range when inside the car and it dosn't go away when the car has warmed up. i have had a full service a1k miles ago. my mate says its the lifters and not to worry about it but i just would like a few more opnions, dose anyone elses cupra tap, its quite high milege car done 108,000k is there a certain oil i should be using that will stop the noise semi stynthetic ect, im meant to get it re-mapped next week and now im worried sorry for the long thread cheers.

my mate rekons it is definately lifters but can they really get that noisy, what would be ther best oil to use if i was to do a full change again?

i wish i got a frickinglada rivita at least you know they noise they make is normal

Most likely injectors as already said.

They are noisy engines really, the carbon cannister clicks as well doesnt it?

Only ever really noticed the injector noise as they are the loudest but it wouldnt surprise me if other things ticked and clicked aswell.

my old one done it i did a engine flush and it cured it mate, think there mite of been a blocked port sumwere
