I have a bit of a problem, when I slow down, I hear a bit of a graunching sound from the brakes, it sounds like the rears, metal on metal. It happpens when at low speeds or just before grinding to a halt. My front pads have loads left, but although the rears look a little thin, they have a bit left on them. I have done a search and all I seem to come up with is rear calipers binding, can anyone hazard a guess? Its a 52 plate Leon Cupra if that makes the blindest bit of difference!

Rust? Normally i'd suggest throwing the handbrake on at 20-30mph to clear it, depends how much is 'a little bit left' i suppose.

the lip round the outside mate. if your pads are down the lip on the disc is most likley making contact with the metal backing of the pad. just remove your wheels and it is easly chipped of with a hammer.
