hey chaps,

this 06 TDI S I got about a month ago does something like a rubbing noise when it is in full right lock.

any ideas? thinking the stealers did a 101point check as well makes me laugh once again:D

since I'm at it as well......rear window heater ain't that brilliant....seems like the connector is coming out from the hutch so I tend to slide it back in. Any permanent solutions for this?

It is still under warranty but it's always good to know if I can do sthing b4 I take to the lovely stealers

are your wheels standard size?

have you got a loose wheelarch liner?

I have heard about the rubbing before, I think if you're lucky it needs to have the wheel alignment done properly, I think you may have more lock on one side than the other

if not then you may have somshing bent or broken on the side that rubs

the connector for the rear screen heater hopefully can be squeezed with a pair of plyers to make it tighter

I seemed to have the same problem with the driver’s side on full lock. Turned out it was rubbing the arch liner. For some reason it was not as well fitted as the other side. Stealer sorted it out without any issues.

aparantly the wheel arch liner was a factory problem on some of the beezers! they had to release a moddifyed wheelarch housinmg to solve the rubbing issue! take the wheel off and look for evidence on the wheelsheild for rubbing ect!
