No air from Centre Vents

Anyone else check with there own Climate Control unt please. I dont seem to get any air now with unit on Auto and 22c. If i turn temp down to 21 or 20 then air comes out. As soon as i turn it back up to 22c it stops. Everything was fine with unit until dealer had a look at a rattling noise in dashboard which they said they couldnt find. Could just be a coincidence that its stopped working since theyve looked at it. Only way i can get air from centre vents is to put it on a different setting altogether in manual. Doing my head in now along with the rattle from the dash which is still there. Dont know what the hell dealer was listening to but noise is still there.

what does the manual say about auto mode?
I've not got a manual but I'd start there

yeah on the directional part you will see an arrow pointing up and down then in the middle is some kind of grill looking pattern on the button..press that and air will come out of the centre vents..plus the one to the righ of the steering wheel!

Is that what its supposed to have done since new? When i had mine on automatic and 22c it always used to come through the centre vents aswell. Its only stopped doing it since dealer looked at it. If its meant to be like that then fine but dont know anyone else with climatronic to check locally

I have exactly the same issue, air came out of centre vents for last 4 years dealer did air con service now air only comes out of centre vents if selected on display when I pointed this out to them they claimed it should work like this and to basically go away. Needless to say I won’t be giving them any more of my money. Would be intrested to hear if anybody knows if this is a fault or not.

Mines done exactly the same after being in to dealer with air con complaint. Im about to go back with a whole host of complaints before the warranty runs out.

well on mine the air comes through the dash vents at 22c and below, but as you turn it up hotter the air then comes out of the windscreen vent and feet vents more and the dash ones less and when turning down below 22c the colder the temp the more air comes out of the dash vents and less out of the windscreen / feet vents.....

Had the car for 4 years and no probs with a/c etc so i guess as there are a few of you with what appears to the same, maybe this is correct. Maybe the reason is that it is more effective to warm up the car that way and your feet will get warm quicker which in turns make you feel warmer and visa versa for the cold, on a hot day , feels great to feel a blast on cold air on your face / upper body ! Thats the only thing i can think why it does that !

realised today that my centre vents weren't blowing hot air out, whilst the side vents were. I'll have to do a bit of investigating aand see if it has the same symptoms as you lot or not.
