Nitrous on my V5 - possible??

I have now decided to keep my V5 toledo looking standard, and not attempt to Cupra-r it to the hilt.
I like the idea of the 'wolf in sheeps clothing' - so I want to add nitrous to the engine. I don't know much about it really, but I know I want to add more than the standard 25bhp a basic kit gives. What engine modifications and possible gearbox problems will I have to come accross.... if indeed this is at all do'able at all????
Will a cupra-r box sit in the toledo ok?
And would the gear ratio's be ok with the v5 engine??
Am I gonna have to get uprated engine components to take the strain, and if so where the hell do I start??!!

Please give me some ideas, if anyone's gonna know - it's gonna be the boys here.

Cheers!

Now I'm far from an expert, this is just my opinion and I've never owned a car with NOS.
But can't see why it isn't possible

If you're gonna go nitrous then you're gonna need someone reliable to fit it, like the people who advertise on here and to be honest I think that's where you need to start.
Lots of VAG tuners in Golf+ and Performance VW magazines.

From what I gather the engine needs to be in good condition as you say you're going to put extra stresses on it.
Uprated engine mounts would be a good idea and better brakes if you're gonna go faster

some good info on here:

These guys fit a NOS kit for £700.......... www.D-techperformance.co.uk but are oop north

As for the gearbox I'm assuming you mean the 6 speed?

If so again from what I've read in mag's this is also a big job , I have no prior knowledge myself so I'm willing to be put right, but it's not going to be cheap.
Why would you want to change the 'box?

I thought changing the box to something a bit more hardcore would be necesary... maybe not!....

OK, so, how much of a job would it be to fit the 180bhp 20v turbo engine found in leons, and tweak that instead of turning my engine into a bomb??!?

I'm getting the tuning bug, but would rather not have to get rid of the motor, as they aint worth much more than a tenner now!!

Dude never build a car you car buy! It'd be cheaper to sell and start again unless you are a auto electrician/mechanic and had a donor vehicle spare.

The V5 is nororiously difficult to get alot of power out of and not cheap (again only from what I've read).
your 3 options for lots of power are

1. Turbo
2. Supercharge
3. NOS

Now I haven't a clue about any of these, but you could do some basics first.
Get a performance exhaust, sports cat(alytic converter) and a performance air filter. Not gonna get an awful lot maybe 5-10bhp
You could get the car remapped but don't expect more than 3-5 bhp

5-10 for a filter and exhaust, but 3-5 for a chip?

HUH???

Chipping a 150 will get you in the region of an extra 15-20....
