Well after a good few weeks of deliberation, I've finally taken the plunge and gotten my new exhaust fitted.
I used Simons Exhausts (www.simonsexhausts.co.uk) in East Kilbride after much debate with myself and mates about them or C+C in Hillington- who are outside my office however were much more expensive and couldn’t take the car for another 2 weeks
Simon couldn't have been much more helpful either on the phone or when I went in to see them, they fitted the system and even a replacement cat (original not sports unfortunately) for the loverly sum of £300. Thankfully this was bang on my budget!
All I had to do now was decide on how I wanted the system to look and sound...this was the tough part!
Eventually I went for a small silencer in the middle and at the back as I wanted a nice growl when I give it the berries and no resonation whilst cruising along at legal speeds of course!
Now for the looks...do I keep it hidden or have the tail pipe on show which obv involved some chopping of the rear end. 1 hour before I was going to drop the car off, my mind was finally made up...after looking at the twin pipe Miltek, single exit whether round or oval, or hidden as it was originally for 2 hours whilst supposed to be working.
Finally I made a decision and went for a 6x4 Oval just like a Cupra R as my thoughts have been turning towards having a rear bumper from one crafted onto the Tolly next year when I get the current rear bumper sorted as the paint is peeling from the lower valance. (you can see the paint damage next to the towing eye cover in the pics)
I dropped the car off on the Tuesday night, and by 4pm on the Wednesday it was ready for collection. 5 minutes later I had a big kid grin on my face as I gave the engine a wee bit of welly
I’ve attached some pics of the car from when it was in getting the exhaust fitted…hopefully y’all like it!

Start with the Old manky one that had been cut off...
Then some from under the car after the new one was built on...
and finally some of the car from the back...excuse the need of a wash and touch up on the back bumper paint
