Next stage

Hi all i was just wonderin a few things.
ive got a ibiza cupra running 177bhp at the mo and i was wanting more. its had a stage 1 chip not sure which one but will a stage 2 be any different if i was to get a fmic. i can get one fitted for 300 quid so think im gonna do that feb time. im wantin over 200bhp. would larger injectors help, or should that only be with a bigger turbo, this leads me on to me next question. would it be sensible to get a larger turbo fitted if i was to head for bigger gains? what does the standard one go at? also wud it better to get a better clutch fitted etc etc?
sorry for all the questions ive done searches but all over the place lol. also what is a ths intercooler?

when you say stage 1 chip do you know exactly what you've had? 177bhp isn't very impressive for a chip / remap. You should be nearer to 190 / 200 mark without any other mods....

Have a search for a K03s (turbo from different 1.8T engines), a lot of people have put the K03s, intercooler, and exhaust on and seen approx 240 / 250 with a good map

An intercooler will help to keep heat away and keep your power up for longer

well thats pants lol. apparently its got a chip on it but like i said i dont know as the guy had it done before the person i bought it off. its also carbon fibre induction kit, exhaust from the de-cat. i thought it would be more the 190 mark that what it is.i may hav to take it somehwere to get it looked at after the holidays.
i think its intercooler after that then the turbo. that seems pretty good bhp for not many mods. cheers mate

as above thats not great for a stage 1.. Take it to revo or custom code (as a standard car) and you will see near 200bhp

For 220 id say get the K03s turbo (Straight swap) fitted, Bigger intercooler, uprated exhaust and TIP maybe.. then a stage 2 remap should see that easy!

will re-mapping them not cause reliability problems?And also by doing that you mpg is gonna go down faster than an Amsterdam hooker having £200 flashed in her face

lol not bothered about mpg. and it really doesn't affect it that much mate. it makes the engine run smoother. so ive been told.
cheers ninja im takin it somewhere where me mates gettin his diesel done so ill chat to him. called derv power not sure what there gonna be like but we'll c eh. deffo gonna get fmic and a k03s wen i can find one lol

remapping doesnt cause reliability issues no...well i mean you might pop a coil pack or two a bit more often but thats about it!! Would probably happen anyway lol

Also MPG actually improves (when your not booting it)

yeah mpg wasnt really affected after the remap.. well unless your blasting it everywhere!!

Mine has the k03s and all the goodies and running about 240bhp with custom code stage 2.. Completely different to the standard car i must say!!!
