Hello All.

I come in peace from fiatforum. I currently drive a Fiat Stilo JTD 115, which isnt a bad car to drive, just very problem prone. Anyway, i have just got a new job and im looking at getting a Cupra TDI 150 as i have always wanted one.

So, my question was what sort of things should i be looking out for when buying one? What (if any) are common faults with Leon Cupra TDI's?

Any help would be great

Cheers.

Hi

Good choice of car, have a search through the forums, this has been asked many times but off the top of my head, wet carpets, crash damage etc. They are pretty solid so just look out for the usual problems.

Good luck and welcome to SCN

welcome, Im a previous stilo owner from fiat forum myself, old modded 5 door that got tagged janice,

the stilo had good intentions, but it did fail as a car,

the leon is a far superior car, only hing thats showing its age really is the dash, ive had troublefree motoring for 14 months until today,

barring that cant fault it

Door seals seem to be the main problems and leaky pollen filter under scuttle panel

I recognise your name mate off FiatForum. Mine was Oakley28. Still on there. I love the Stilo and will be sad to see it go, but i just keep getting problems with it. ABS Has Failed and then i crashed :( bad times, and it just feels like she's dying so I'm making the switch.
My family swear by Seat so i'll give one a go. Just don't wanna be having the same sort of problems. Sick of the classic "beep beep beep" when you turn a fiat on lol.

Anyway back to Seat ... I'm told that the yellow ones paint fades, is this true? As i want either a yellow one, or a dark Grey one. What sort of mileage would be ok to go with on a Cupra TDI 150? Seen a few cupra's on here that I love and i'm already planning stuff I can do to it.

Thanks for the welcome, i'm sure i'll enjoy my stay.

What about this? Too high mileage for the price?

2004 SEAT Leon 1.9 TDi 150 Cupra
Mileage: 72,000
Colour: Extreme Blue
PRICE: £6,950

Does that sound about right? Not sure I wanna get one with that mileage on the clock though. Hmmm. Can't seem to find one with Full or even Half Leather ineterior? Are they available?

Cheers.
