Newbie with vag-com what to check

Tonight will be my first time out with the vag-com, just wondering what and how to check things.

Once you get connected to the car, just do an auto scan WITHOUT airbags. See what it comes up with, copy and paste any codes into Word for future reference.
Have a read of the Ross-tech site, maybe download teh user guide and print it off.

I got it on, no errors apart from ABS which i new about anyway as i have the sensor disconnected atm.

I did some quick logging, i was managing to pull 144g/s is this good or bad MAF wise?

Thats a bit more than my mates chipped A4 so could be good. What does it drive like. I would think a practically 200 horse Ibiza should be pretty balistic.

Only way to be sure is to fit another.

Other point to consider, different sized MAFs will produce different outputs which the ECU then converts to airflow.

If you put a bigger MAF on a car, I reckon the ECU will assume the airflow has dropped and it should underfuel.

If you try a new/remanufactured one, make sure it has only Bosch(if it is Bosch originally) numbers on it.
