Fáilte! Where in Ireland are you from? I have family in Galway, so know where some places are :)

If you're on here to learn, you'll be most welcome. You have a few questions already? Post them up, see if anyone can help. Also, remember the search button is your friend. A lot of threads have come up over the years on almost any subject you could want, Saves clogging the place up with millions of new threads.

High Oj,
I'm from Monaghan, It's on the opposite side of Ireland, more up North, about 3 hours away from Galway. Yeah, I already posted a question which I haven't found many answers to yet. It's about a really bad leak I have in one of my rear footwells

Ahhh, two options for that, 1. The washer.... do the Tollys have a rear wash/wipe...? anyway, the pipe sometimes pop off, and the water leaks to the footwell, OR door seals have/are going. Either replace the seals, or do what I did on my ex's 106 and spread vaseline on them. it apparently livens them back up. I don'nt know the science, but it worked on the french stuff. Something you could've searched, that one, comes up fairly often :)

Ah, I know of Monaghan, but never been there. How is it up there? I've been wanting to explore more of the island, but I'm not a fan of new places.... aka chicken :p

edit: Something to bear in mind when posting/searching. The Toledo has the same Chassis as the Leon, just a different body. To be honest, the Leon/Toledo have the same Chassis as the VW golf, and Audi A3. So any problems you get, you can likely find the answer on an equivalent hatchback :)

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Try looking in the Leon section (the Toledo is basically the same car), they suffer from leaky door seals which can leave you with puddles in the footwells.
Should be a few threads about it.

Yeah, the walls around the footwell going up to the door seems to be fairly dry, unless it's coming in in a small place that I wouldn't notice. It's only the last few days, with lots of rain here, that I actually have a full on puddle in the footwell, just that one footwell in the rear, behind the passenger seat

Oh and while we're being helpful - here's another useful hint. if you need to get new seals, or any other parts, go to David at SERE motors. He based in Belfast and can be found in the dealer section of the forum. Cheapest SEAT parts by far and a pleasure to deal with!

Thanks so much for all your help, it's a problem that has given me many problems, hopefully it is just the seals and that will solve the problem. I know I'm a newbie, so thanks for helping me out

Yeah, Ireland, it's a small country, bound to know somebody from every part of the country. I'm in the middle of exams at the moment, so I am a bit busy to have a good go at fixing this problem at the moment, but thanks for all the advice. I will try to get it sorted in the next few weeks. I'll let you guys know how I get along.
