Thanks all for the warm welcome....:funk:

I take it then looking att he above, that the ibiza's are the same as the mk4 golf turbos then and dont like normal valves? I am a member of golfgtifourm.co.uk so have seen the abuse and advice flying around about people using normall dump valves!

With only being 20, can i just ask, how old are the majority of people on here and do you pay rediculious insurance preminums? I have just been quoted £111 per month to cover me fully comp with 3 yrs ncb for the rest of my policy which is 4 months.

Thats right. You wouldn't believe how many threads there are on this same topic mate and it gets on some peoples ti*s answering the same questions weekly. lol
Best advice I can give is have a search 1st, most topics will of been covered already if you do that the advice is really good and help loads.

You will find usually cupra cheeper to insure than the Golf/Audi etc with the same engine. I did when I bought my Mark 2 cupra (insted of a GTI) then followed it up with the Mark 3. (as IMO as better lookinf and less common) I THINK the cupras are a bit quicked too as they are lighter (correct me if I am mistaken?!)
Insurance is always going to be a problem if you are under 25. I pay pennies but I am 27. I would advise to try Admiral they have always been competative with me and the cover is good too.

Hope this helps.

Yes they are alot less common than the golfs and are most definatley faster and lighter.

I am looking at some that are around 225-270bhp, ami right in thinking that will be reliable power, what 0-60 is to be expected from that??

You will be able to get that sort of power, with a few enhancements. Best thing to do is have a search and a look around. As for 0-60 times - no idea...... Quick :)

Welcome to the forum.

Iv only been here a few months myself, but I consider the forum a valuable tool...even a lifeline somtimes!

I moved up to a cupra from a fiesta, so it was abit of a shock to the system at first, I knew my fiestas inside out, but moving to a turbo I soon found I had a lot to learn!
I take it your moving from a Golf, so you should be fairly familiar with some of the things found on the Ibiza.

There are a lot of good people on here, always willing to offer advice and help out.
Also, check the trader section, you can save alot on parts by going to them first!

225 to 270bhp...

thats quite a large power range to cover requiring different setups...

from 225bhp upto about 240 is reached with stage 2 remap a k03s turbo and the extra bolt on mods...

around the 270bhp mark you are looking at a k03-k03s hybrid really...
