First off, great forum, looking forward to becoming a Cupra owner... (apart from the 27mpg fuel consumption
)
I am hoping you guys can help me in my first Cupra purchase...
So far I have looked at 2 cars, one private sale (Black 20Vt in Bristol) and one garage (Black 20Vt in Taunton).
Looked at the first in the dark, (going back to look again on saturday in the light).
All seamed great with the first (bar a small typo on the V5).. owner has had the normal problems (water pump, 2 coil packs, water pump was changed to the met one).. but has only owned it since December... car seamed clan and tidy (but it was dark)... no sqeaks / rattles, lovely gear change, quick(ish)...did get blown away by an S3 on the test drive tho
Full service history too.
This one had the red / black leather seats

Only mods where a forge recirc valve, cone filter revo remap and an acoustic parcel shelf).
Owner is asking £5K
Second was in Taunton / Bridgewater (local car according to the log book),
Absolute dog... very tatty interiour, very poor seats, loads of mods not listed on the autotrader advert (chipped, miltek exhaust, forge recirc, mesh cone filter) resonating exhaust (probably poor fitting), missing caps for the towing eye on the bumper, previous owner must have been a heavy smoker as the headling was almost yellow... 93K
Full service history (but not by a Seat garage).. and LOADS of receipts for tyres (might say something about how it has been driven maybe!)
This one had the grey / leather seats and th driver side bolster was shagged).
Garage is asking £5K...
Does anyone know eather of these cars? (a long shot I know).
Anything I should look out for?? (I have had the private sale car HPId.. looks ok).
I'm buying this car as an everyday work hack.. it will need to be reliable and good for 500 miles per week of country lanes (and I will live with the fuel consumption..cant stand bloody diesels anymore!).
