New SEAT Tarraco road test review

Join us for our first road test review of SEAT’s new 7 Seater Tarraco.  Thanks to one of our moderators paddy6789 for the review. 



Once we powered our way through the passport control at Barcelona airport, we were paired up and given an option of model lines to pick from and drive to our meeting point 80km away in Ca n’Alzina. The model of our choosing initially was the 7 Seater 2.0 TSI 190 PS 7 Speed DSG 4 DRIVE Xcellence.







As we were walked to our chosen car, there was no mistaking where the Tarraco was parked. There it stood in Oynx White with 20” alloys, looking proud at over 1.6m high and 4.7m long – the car certainly demands presence, and it achieves this no matter what angle you...

Great write up. Love the sound of the 360 parking cameras. Almost reversed into a post today that was positioned between two sensors. Is the view from above just a diagram?

Good work on the write up! Looks like it's going to be a wait to see what specs we get in the UK on thr first release.

If I was thinking about this car I think I'd be waiting for the FR spec to see what that brings also be intrigued to see how the plug in performs against the other engines.

If it’s like the Ateca I looked at today, the car has four cameras (Front, Back and Wing Mirrors). It uses all 4 to create a top down view for you.

Yeah the cameras around the car make up the 360 view. It's initially in 2D, but you can select 3D, and then even rotate the angle on the screen.

The car also parks itself using these cameras.

That's interesting. So the park assist needs the 4 cameras to work?
I say interesting as I've ordered the Tarraco xcellence which comes with rear view parking camera and park assist but no 360 view. Does this mean it still has the cameras but needs the 360 enabled in ODBC?

Additionally, as it comes with ACC with Speed Limiter and Lane assist, but seemingly no Traffic Sign recognition(it's not listed in the spec sheet)is this standard so they don't mention it, can this be enabled in ODBC?
