New pedal and pedal box problem

Hi guys,

After reading all the posts on pedal boxes it became clear that someone had really butchered mine and it was time for a new one. They had also damaged the clutch pedal. Iv now fitted a new pedal and box and cable, everything seems and feels ok apart from the pedal.

Its working fine but its not coming all the way up, its stopping at about 85% of the way up.

Will this correct it self after a while on the self adjuster or does it need a little grease, or is it just not on properly or a common? :help:

Thanks guys any comments/ideas appreciated

Sounds like the cable hasnt been made tight enough.

If its at the right tension the pedal should come back up to the very top. Ive recently got a new clutch cable fitted and straight away the pedal came back up.

Thanks, I may pop the old cable back on and just see how that feels, only other thing I could think of is if the clutch was starting to go

Dont put the old cable back on. If the old cable is worn etc this is what causes the pedal boxes to break in the first place. May be a good idea to change the clutch as well while your at it just to be on the safe side!!
