Hi guys,

Had my bumper painted last week and washed it on Saturday....and i appear to have got a very slight area of scratches in it (its kinda of dull and scratched in a 2 inch by 2 inch area) probably done by my drying cloth maybe.....not really sure as i was SO careful...

will it polish out do you think and if so what should i use?

Cheers

Rich

Sounds a bit like over spray
Depends on what equipment you have and what polishes you have also
If you have a PC then this will make short work of this
If you are doing it by hand this can still be done but need elbow grease
What you need is a fine cutting polish like megs or another
With damp application sponge concentrate n that area, go at it for say 2 mins then clean off polish and inspect
Due to the abrasive nature of these polishes be very careful but you should make light work of this. When the worst of off step down to a very fine cut or finishing polish to finish off then clean and wax area
Hope this helps, its difficult to know what to tell you with not knowing what tools you have

Could it be where they've keyed the bumper before painting? If so, I wouldn't polish it as it sounds like it has a very thin layer of paint on it!

If you ask around you might find somebody with a paint thinkness gauge who can measure how much paint you have on the effecting area - which will decide your course of action.
