New owner

hello all,
I have recently got hold of a 95-1.6 Ibiza Glx
The car has been in a garage for the past four years but hopefully i can get some life back in it. I havent actually driven it yet but i know that the drivers window is one issue that needs sorting.
I wanted to ask for your help if you could point any areas i should check on the car. its got 60k on it si i thought that belts migt need changing. any comments are appreciated.

Have a look for the start of the 'dreaded' pedal box issue. Plenty of threads on here about it. Change the clutch and clutch cable. Give it a good service.

Oh and check the rear arches for signs of rust as this is a common problem.

thansk mate, sounds like general issues, having owned a rover, i know the SEAT s havent got as many issues. Just trying to find any common problems

Most common is the pedal box issue. Search this website and you will find a list of threads as long as your arm about it.

right got the car today, its in pretty good nick except the air hose is snapped and another issue is that it seems like the power steering fluid container is a bit loose sitting next to the battery... is this normal
