hiya,
the girlfriend has just got herself W plate arosa 1.4, and just got a few questions about the audio and stuff

firstly, i've bought her a Kenwood head-unit, which i'm fitting myself. as far as i know i wont need a harness adaptor but i've heard i may need one for my aerial. is this true?

ialso have some spare 6.5" and 4" kenwood speakers that i wanna fit, but are the speaker pods in the doors and dash the right size?

we've also got some 15s to go on but as far as i know they'll fit

if anyone can help i'd greatly appreciate it

cheers

right you dont need a extra wiring harnes for the CD player . take the kenwood unit out the box and have a look at the wiring harnes that comes with it , you will see a yellow and a red wire ( constant live and ignition ) if they have a deliberate split on them with conector all you need to do is from standard they will be like

yellow ---connected to ---- yellow
red -------connected to ----red

if you change them to

yellow --- connected to --- red
red -------connected to ---- yellow

you wont have any problems

you dont need any facia adaptors

the aerial adaptor you will need an ISO adaptor for hte back of the CD player to make it fit , you can get one from any car audio supplier for about between £1.50 and £3 depending on where you go

i *think* the doors may only be a 6" speaker size

wheels as long as there the right offset ( about ET35 ) and a 4x100 PCD you shouldnt have any problems with them

cheers for that.

hopefully the speakers i have will fit.

if there is not split with the red and yellow wires does that mean that there will be no need to chancge or will i have to change things about myself?

the wheels were off a polo so should fit fine. one other question i have is whether the wheels on the arosa are mounted on studs with nuts holding them on or are they drilled holes with bolts to hold the wheels on?

cheers
