330, no way!

You would struggle to get over 280 out of the k03s which the new leon has.

it's weird - on his website he only lists the Mk5 golf as 235bhp

maybe that's what he meant?

The biggest turbo currently in a Leon is the 'k03s' or whatever it is. Looking on there site they ahve a demo 'sport' model, which is the same enigne/turbo as the FR. I also have the sport, and know that with the standard turbo 330 is impossible.

Unless he's fitted the K04 (which you could just get away with calling a 'standard' turbo)? I *think* that I've seen well over 300 with a remap and exhaust on that turbo?
Edit: Robdon would know?

I have driven the car you mention, now he said to me it was getting a new turbo in the new year, wether he has fitted this i dont know, when i drove it, it was remaped with a full milltek system and was a claimed 265bhp, i cant vouch for it but it was much faster than my then MK4 GTi which was roughly 230bhp , it was far smoother also, he had a big brake set up also in the shop waiitng to go on.so if the new turbo is on then who knows.

does anyone know how muck the k04 turbo will cost at audi or seat? (like ordering a replacement for the s3 or the cupra)

I was up at Star a couple of weeks ago and the demo car which has a forge FMIC fitted now aswell has a full exhaust and air intake with a new custom remap he trying the night before. He was saying that he got as much out of the standard turbo as possible and it was running 290bhp and 314lbft I saw the graph and it looked very smooth. His was a later engine with the new type of fuel rail which apparantly is good for remaps. Think it was a F type he mentioned not 100% sure on that though.

He never mentioned if he was going to put another turbo on it. Sounds like if it is running 330bhp it must have a bigger turbo on it.

Its has a custom made GIAC remap with 3 modes, its switchable & can be done on the move.Full Eibach springs, dampers etc with rollbars fitted too, front has had a big brake conversion done, NEW turbo to go in after the year and hopefully with another stage on the remap will push too 330/40bhp.

On a diff note they are going to read my FR TDi ecu and send to GIAC to see what they can do for me:D , going to check out the full Eibach set up to see how good it is as JIm says no loss on the comfort.as this was something i wanted to look at also.
