Just bought a copper ibiza gti cupra sport 8v and im well happy! I havent driven it yet but it passed its MOT today so ill be insuring it in the morning so then I can start driving it :)

Looking forward to seeing how quick it is too as the fastest car ive owned so far is a slow as hell 50 odd bhp 1.4 Astra

The only problem ive noticed so far is that the clutch pedal is very hard to push and not very smooth coming up at all. Is this most likely to be just the clutch cable?

or it can be the mechanism in the gearbox (just needs removing & lubing)

OR

that something is jamming in the external mechanism (seen it before!) in which case you just need to tidy up the thing that's jamming it

OMFG! :D I love it

As for the clutch it seems much better when warmed up. Ive got a cable ready to go on at the weekend - is it easy to change myself? so hopefully that will help.

Im from Chelmsford Essex btw

Mark,

Should be on the road with my Beeza and working in Chelmsford again soon - I'll drop you a PM and come and say hello :) I really like the copper colour but haven't seen it in the flesh yet!

As for a heavy clutch, I'm sure most Seat's have heavy clutches - just lube it up as people already said :)
